This week - Thursday thru Saturday Noon - Abraham will be set up at the residence of Lori Lenahan.
The occasion? Her 22nd annual Holiday Craft Show with interesting gifts supplied by 10 local artisans. I like being part of this intimate, cozy Show because the items there are quite unique. Huh? Halloween and Christmas items up-cycled from antique quilts and vintage textiles . . . baby gifts galore . . . American Girl Doll clothes . . . handmade jewelry and purses . . . handmade holiday cards . . . handmade baskets . . . and more.
Of course Abraham will be there. A lot of sports this year, but also some Uptown Normal images and making a special appearance: the BHS Raider. Judging by what I've described, and although Lori doesn't discriminate against us men, this is a setting that lends itself well to the feminine gender and hey, if you feminine genders are looking for something different for your masculine genders, coasters of their favorite sports team is something they don't likely have!
Will also have U of I, ISU, U-High . . . if you go, go early. If you go and don't find what you want, just go to "Abraham" on line (if you aren't already there), click on "Shop" and well, shop.
Lori's Show is in a nice home in a nice part of Normal: Just off Jersey Avenue . . . 8 Thomas Drive.
From Linden St.: Go East on Jersey and turn left onto Crescent. Bear right onto Thomas Drive.
From Towanda Ave.:Go West on Jersey and turn right onto Crescent. Bear right onto Thomas Drive.
It's a nice setting . . . a nice place to browse and shop in peace and quiet while all is calm, all is bright.
We're in the lull before it's not like that anymore. Go and enjoy the Fall Colors . . . they're especially nice on Thomas Drive!
